Certifcate of Special Congressional Recognition Award, 2025
As an honorable discharged veteran, I have led fundraising efforts on holidays like Veterans Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving to give back to the community. For Veterans Day, I organized a group of AYSF youth members to write letters of appreciation, which were delivered to Veteran Service Organizations to support mental health and morale. Additionally, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the R.O.K.-U.S. alliance, I assembled and led a Taekwondo demonstration team through AYSF for Korean Culture Night, showcasing both skill and cultural appreciation.
Certificate of Special Congressinal Recognition Award, 2025
For three consecutive years, I have played a key role in the Arizona State Taekwondo Championship, serving as both the Master of Ceremonies and an organizer. I ensured the competition ran smoothly by leading event proceedings and coordinating all AYSF volunteers. As an executive member of AYSF, I managed logistics and operations, showing strong leadership and communication skills. Additionally, I was the youngest main referee overseeing one of the eight rings, making critical decisions under pressure to uphold fairness and competition standards.
The president’s Volunteer Service Award, 2022-2024
This award is given to individuals who have shown commitment and leadership to their communities through service. Throughout 9th, 10th, and 11th grade, I raised $5,000 to purchase PPE for frontline workers and held free Taekwondo Zoom sessions three times a week to support the community during COVID-19. For 3 consecutive years, I earned the award by dedicating over 250 hours annually to service. After high school, I continued supporting Taekwondo competitions at local and national levels, assisting with technical support, administration, and volunteering through the AYSF program.
Certifiate of Recognition from Senator Dave Cortese, 2024
The certificate is given to individuals for dedicated service in community contributions, achievements, and leadership. I fundraised for the Veterans Service Organization on Veterans Day to support those who served. I trained over 40 new referees, equipping them with the skills to officiate local and regional Taekwondo tournaments. Beyond mentoring, I taught Taekwondo and participated in building homes for underserved communities abroad. Committed to helping those in need, I also organized multiple events providing food to the homeless and low-income families, making a direct community impact.
